ROBOT Office 19.0 - new features!

1. Robot Millennium - Structures

1.1. Structure model

  • Ergonomics:
    • Object inspector - new dialog for display of objects and their properties (tree structure) allowing for selection and edition of model elements,
    • Object properties dialog box - new dialog box allowing for preview and quick change of properties for groups of objects, bars, panels,
    • Arbitrary names of bars and panels enabling description of structure elements and identification (during design and on printouts),
    • Saving of model parts together with results in separate file - allowing for simultaneous design of several model parts and data updating, analysis for smaller structure accelerates and makes the design easier,
    • Table of quantity survey for panels - summary of area and material for plates and shells,
    • Definition of surface loads on contours (without panel selection).
  • Modeling:
    • Automatic offsets defined using the position of the member in reference to other member or slab e.g. purlin on rafter or beam under the slab; when the rafter or slab position is changed the offset is automatically updated,
    • Orthotropy direction compatible to local panel system,
    • Adding supports for nodes belonging to several supported edges or surfaces, new supports are created that properties are a sum of supported degrees of freedom,
    • Acceleration of finite element mesh generation,
    • Automatic refinement of finite element for supported nodes.
  • Sections:
    • Sections with corrugated web - WTA database (SIN) and user-defined dimensions,
    • Sections with castellated web (I-sections) - definition using section cut height, hexagonal and circular openings,
    • Additional parameters for section defined by properties (Ax, Iy, Iz...) that allows for steel member design,
    • Databases of C-sections and Z-sections (Borga, Lindab, Pruszyński).
  • Loads:
    • Moving loads - arbitrary position of vehicle on route defined by polyline points,
    • Snow/wind loads according to Eurocode 1 for 3D frames
    • OSnow/wind loads according to Spanish code NBE-AE-88 (18.MP1),
    • Snow/wind loads according to Italian code DM 16/1/96 (18.MP3).
  • Advanced options:
    • Automatic generation of rigid links between panel edges,
    • Slab stiffness reduction for bending

1.2. Calculations

  • Analysis:
    • Bars on unidirectional elastic ground with uplift,
    • Improved management of bar elements in non-linear P-Delta analysis.
  • Seismic analysis:
    • Seismic calculations according to updated Eurocode 8, Portuguese, Italian NAD and general (definition of factors possible),
    • Seismic calculations according to updated Romanian code P100-1-2004.

1.3. Results

  • Results:
    • Reaction in the form of diagrams for linear supports,
    • Integral value for influence lines of moving loads,
    • Extreme values for FE (extreme on layers).

1.4. Auxiliary tools
