Robobat (UK) Ltd countrywide Freeware Training ends.

We have just finished what can only be regarded as a very successful tour of the UK  and Ireland training users of our Robot Freeware software.  Robot Freeware is our free structural analysis solution available for download from this website,  and it has proved hugely popular since its release in October 2004 with over 400 active users.

The freeware training seminars were designed to teach the users how to input structures effectively and also how to interpret results for the frame models that were created.  Topics covered were the creation of 2D and 3D frame structures using the Structural Axis feature, the section definition tool for arbitrary cross section definition,  modal analysis, interpretation of results such as reactions, member forces and all relevant features for post processing within the Freeware environment.

Freeware has some 3000 nodes for 2D and 3D frame definition so it is meaningful software for engineers working in all sizes of consultancies performing a wide variety of structural engineering tasks.  The aim of Freeware is to offer UK and Ireland based engineers enough software to use for performing real engineering tasks, not just a demo version which often falls someway short and is weighted in favour of the software provider rather than the end user.
There are many features within Robot Freeware but the real power comes in the form of Robot Millennium, which is the commercial version of this software.  Downloading and using Freeware will prepare any user for dealing with its more powerful cousin, so make sure you take advantage of this free solution.

Due to the success of these courses we would anticipate running them again in the not too distant future so please let us know if you are interested.
